Lulu Kennedy, Fashion East founder and the brains behind her very own label Lulu & Co, is now lending a fashionable hand to the high street by teaming up with M&S to launch a capsule clothing collection called Indigo. As the suede skirt frenzy dies down, it’s another clear sign that M&S is increasingly trying to up its fashion credentials and win back a few old customers. That’s, of course, in addition to new stylish fans Alexa Chung and Olivia Palermo, who were both spotted in M&S purse-friendly pieces at Fashion Week, causing waiting lists to ensue.
Inspired by Lulu’s travels with a particular nod toward her Mexican adventures, the capsule collection looks to achieve a holiday feel, but with a broader appeal as the pieces aim to fit into your general wardrobe. Sure, you can expect vacation-perfect maxi dresses and European-feeling scarves, but you can also find a denim staple or two that the core M&S customer craves.
