Celebrations seem to be everywhere as Vogue Japan marks its 15th anniversary with Miranda Kerr on the cover and now Vogue Mexico celebrates its own 15-year milestone, producing a selection of covers for a commemorative issue. The magazine exclusively tapped Alexi Lubomirski to photograph models Karen Elson, Cameron Russell, Irina Shayk, Guinevere Van Seenus and Frankie Rayder donning show-stopping pieces for each of the cover shots.
It is unconfirmed if each of the five girls has official newsstand-available covers or if some are on a fold-out, but that doesn’t stop our forum members from choosing their favorite cover image.
“I’m quite impressed by Vogue Mexico at least cover wise. I don’t know if they’ve always produced quality covers and judging by the fact it’s their 15th anniversary, they’ve been around a while, but if they can produce quality covers that uphold the Vogue name there’s no reason why a lot of the new smaller Vogues shouldn’t be pulling off the same,” complimented A.D.C., praising the magazine for its efforts this month.
Nepenthes shared her favorites: “Karen’s cover is easily the best. She looks like a trillion bucks! Guinevere also nailed it!”
“Karen looks so glamorous!” agreed ash92.
As more covers started to surface inside the thread, tigerrouge‘s favorite changed: “I thought Cameron looked good on the cover… that was before I saw Karen.”
Also in the same predicament was justaguy, who wrote, “As much as I loved Cameron’s shot when I first saw it, there’s just something about Karen’s cover that really sets this one apart from the rest.”
Irina’s appeared to fall short with forum members with marsnoop2 commenting, “Poor Irina. Karen/Cameron/Guinevere are just crushing these covers.”
“Oh no, Irina’s one is terrible! How can they think that this is a good cover?” questioned an underwhelmed Oxymore.
Which is your favorite? See inside the thread for the rest of the covers and check out a few previews of the issue. Share your opinion here.
