Naomi Watts has put on her modelling hat in a vintage-inspired shoot for British Airways, as the airline celebrates it 80th anniversary of flights to Australia.

The 46-year-old actress recreated the company’s iconic poster from back in 1935, used to promote a service from London to Brisbane under the name of British Airways’ predecessor, B.O.A.C, in conjunction with Qantas Empire Airways.

Naomi is an absolute babe in the shoot, donning a red one-piece swimsuit featuring a balconette bra and shorts, and that big yellow surfboard under her arm. She practically becomes the real-life version of the image which preceded her, while also channelling the Baywatch vibes.

Cartoon Naomi had to travel over 12 days back then, though, with Australian Business Traveller reporting passengers spent no less than 10 nights in hotels en route to Australia. A one-way ticket also cost you A$376, which is a massive A$23,470 in today’s money. To give you a better indication, that’s almost twice the amount of a return ticket in British Airways’ first-class cabin today. The kind you’d see Naomi lounging about in.
