We’d like to warn everyone not wear a suit or slick your hair back — ever. A contestant from New Zealand’s The X Factor has been publicly harassed and belittled for doing just that, because apparently there is only man allowed to rock the respectable-gentleman look.

That man’s name is Willy Moon, a one-hit-wonder judge on The X Factor NZ panel. But if was his wife, fellow judge Natalia Kills, who was really enforcing the copyright on her bae’s look. So much so that she called the contestant, 25-year-old Joe Irvine, “cheesy”, “disgusting” and “a laughing stock” for sporting such a likely outfit.

“I am disgusted at how much you have copied my husband,” Kills said with a less-than-impressed resting bitch face. “From the hair, to the suit — do you not have any value or respect for originality?”

Moon also gave Simon Cowell‘s meanness a run for its money, saying, “I mean, it’s like Norman Bates dressing up in his mother’s clothing.” He continued, “It’s just a little bit creepy and I feel like you’re going to stitch someone’s skin to your face and then kill everyone in the audience.”

Rest assured, the Cleopatra-inspired Kills and her royal-hubby Moon were sacked less than 24 hours after the episode was taped. Mediaworks revealed in a release that the married couple were “no longer suitable” and have been “removed” from the show, with its CEO, Mark Weldon, saying that the comments “were completely unacceptable”.

“While the judges on X Factor are expected to provide critiques of performances, we will not tolerate such destructive tirades from any of the judges,” Weldon said. “We no longer have confidence that Kills and Moon are the right people to perform the role of The X Factor judges, and they will leave the show, effective immediately.”

Kills and Moon will be replaced before next week’s show.
