Lisa Hyde ran around The Bachelor mansion for the whole nine yards last year, which is probably why she looks so at home in Huxley School of Makeup’s new high-flyer photo shoot. The only difference here is there’s no Blake Garvey or Osher Günsberg lurking around with date cards to cramp her style this time around.
As the new face of the college, Lisa sports a range of new-season looks from high-end local and international labels to showcase the students’ makeup skills in the Hamptons-inspired shoot.
Photographed by Dan Molloy, designer labels like Camilla and Marc, Senso, Nicholas, Chanel and Givenchy are the focal point, with the crisp whites, fringed frocks and textured pieces really getting Lisa into fabulous trophy-wife character.
“The funny thing was, the owner of the Hamptons-styled house, where the shoot took place, this was her life,” Lisa tells us. “It wasn’t just a set we transformed for the shoot. I actually became this stylish, rich woman with a bursting cupboard full of the most incredible designer clothes.”
Her favourite? The asymmetrical white Camilla and Marc dress, although she admits you would never see her lounging around home in such lavish pieces. “I honestly felt like I was waiting for my private jet to arrive in the back yard,” she explains to theFashionSpot.
Even though she looks ready for a cameo on the Real Housewives of Melbourne, it wasn’t Lisa’s appearance that landed her the gig at Huxley School of Makeup. “Each year we are looking for someone who is more than just a pretty face,” the school’s director, Michael Huxley, tells us. “We were looking for an ambassador whose personality is as radiant as her complexion.”
“I knew right away that she would be the best person for the job,” Michael continued, mentioning that they hit it off judging fashions on the field at Gold Coast Turf Club earlier this year. “She is positive, down to earth, intelligent and someone I believe young women can look up to.”
