Chalayan Spring 2014: Towel-Inspired Dresses and Innovative Umbrellas

Leave it to Hussein Chalayan to come up with the world's coolest umbrellas; umbrellas cum hats, in fact, and they stood out as one of the most memorable accessories of the season. The beachy-feel of the umbrellas tied into the summery collection rife with sailor stripes, many of which appeared as though they were printed on terrycloth towels wrapped around swimwear, making for a variety of unique dresses.

Seaside landscape and painterly prints were also on tap as were roomy neutral-toned separates and languid dresses with sculpted and folded details, culminating in a collection that successfully mixed innovation with wearability.
