If you were planning to blend into the background this season, think again. Consider yourselves warned, the season’s most ubiquitous shade is not for the faint of heart and it’s setting the fashion scene ablaze. Red is the season’s new neutral – it’s arresting, attention grabbing and it goes with everything! From crimson to coral, and all shades in between, red stimulates emotional intensity and packs a striking sartorial punch. It’s love, passion, heat and it makes a statement. Collections from all sides, including the Haute Couture shows in Paris, offered up the power color on ladies in red and we’re not just talking the occasional accessory here or there. The most fashion forward will be sporting the shade head-to-toe in full monochromatic glory. Wallflowers need not apply.
