After i-D released its Winter 2014 cover via its website earlier this week, our forum members immediately began to discuss the image. One-time Prada girl Mica Arganaraz was photographed by Willy Vanderperre for the front cover, sporting a messy updo tended to by hairstylist Duffy. Peter Philips applied thick, clumpy mascara to Mica’s face, while stylist Olivier Rizzo selected a Christian Dior dress for the Argentinian model to wear.
Members of our forums share mixed feelings toward i-D‘s latest cover. “Yeah it really is fresh. Mica looks great. The hair, makeup and styling complement each other. Willy is fantastic,” raved anlabe32, who got the thread off on a positive note.
“Their best cover in awhile, love that [she's] wearing that Dior dress, hair and makeup perfect as well,” added a satisfied HeatherAnne.
“Mica looks really great here and the styling fits her perfectly!” wrote justaguy.
Also on board with the cover was TeeVanity: “It really is gorgeous.”
But the rest of us aren’t feeling it. “The hair looks like a rat’s nest,” stated littlekiki.
“Guess I’m in the minority here, but I hate the makeup and overall styling of the cover – same for the Dior dress. Many things come to mind looking at it, but ‘fresh’ isn’t one of them,” disapproved mistress_f.
