Carolyn Murphy Returns as the Face of Max Mara’s Fall 2014 Ad Campaign (Forum Buzz)
Making a glamorous return since her last Max Mara campaign back in 1999, Carolyn Murphy serves as the face of the brand's Fall 2014 ad campaign. Mario Sorrenti photographs the American model against a subtle gray backdrop for the new ads, which are already surfacing in various publications. Carolyn lets the clothes do the talking with her hair slicked over as she showcases the Italian brand's signature pieces of the new season, from thick chunky outerwear to ladylike leather handbags, scarves and sunglasses.
Members of our forums have mixed reactions toward the campaign. "YES! I love this with all of my heart! Carolyn shows so much confidence and looks mature but with a hint of sexiness. A lot better than [the] last campaign," comments bluestar .
"Carolyn back for Max Mara! I still love her campaign for the brand in the late 90s/early 00s!" wrote Starry.
The same positive opinion was shared by justaguy : "Love this! The layout, styling and Carolyn looks great!"
Not everyone was in such high spirits, though. "Something's wrong, perhaps the background?" questioned GIVENCHYlover.
"I generally like Max Mara campaigns and I adore Carolyn, but I wish her hair was down here. It's a bit meh like this," debated Srdjan.
Nymphaea seemed disinterested and wrote, "Feels very one dimensional, but I didn't expect better from Max Mara."
The full campaign has been posted within the thread. Check the images out and join the discussion here.

Constance Jablonski’s Vogue Spain Cover ‘Makes Her Look Like a Glamorous Migraine Sufferer’ (Forum Buzz)
Scoring her second Vogue Spain cover, Constance Jablonski is the magazine's July 2014 cover model of choice. Patrick Demarchelier shot Constance while she struck a pose against a classic dove gray backdrop, wearing a black dress by Sportmax and jewelry from Bulgari, styled by Belen Antolin, Vogue's fashion director. The French model and current face of Estée Lauder previously fronted Vogue Spain's February 2011 issue.
As usual on our forums, members have diverse opinions regarding the cover. "Constance is lovely but something about the hand placement makes her look like a glamorous migraine sufferer," comments Luxx.
"Looks just a bit unfinished. Something's just not working here. Still, kudos to them for not using all those texts," wrote Srdjan.
Creative made a pretty strong statement: "Ugly cover. They chose the worst picture. I literally CAN'T with this magazine anymore. I'm done."
Then on the other hand, some members were satisfied with the cover. "Go Constance! Happy she got another Vogue!" enthused la veronika .
"How stunning, this will look even better in print I think," shared Miss Dalloway.
Be sure to check out the accompanying cover story and the rest of the issue's contents within the thread here.

Victoria Beckham Makes the Cover of Elle Singapore (Forum Buzz)
Elle Singapore has tapped Victoria Beckham as its cover subject for the July 2014 issue. The fashion icon is photographed wearing a beige trench, suggesting she's also wearing nothing underneath, whilst staring out toward the viewer. Talk about empowering women, Victoria looks powerful and confident in the cover shot. She's also photographed for a series of images inside the magazine.
International editions of Elle should take note because this is how you produce a cover with a famous personality. It's effortless, direct and looks as though there hasn't been a mountain of unnecessary post-production. Kudos to the team behind the shoot!

Rita Ora Fronts Campaign for Donna Karan’s Latest Fragrance
Donna Karan's releasing a new fragrance with a New York attitude, and she's tapping Rita Ora to help sell her scent. The "Never Let You Down" singer has a full plate: Over the next few months, she will be releasing five capsule collections for Adidas Originals, a project which already has the fashion set buzzing. But Ora found time in her busy schedule to take on this project for DKNY, for whom she's been an ambassador since 2013. Keeping true to Karan's New York-centric focus, the fragrance, called DKNY My NY is inspired by the city.
"I love the idea of being part of a campaign that captures the spirit of New York and the stories of women here, passionate about their dreams,” Ora told WWD . “[New York is] so artistic and vibrant. I moved to NYC [she was born in Kosovo and raised in the U.K.] when I was 17 and began this new chapter in my life. I’m never going to forget New York, because my career started in the city. New York has always been a fairy tale to me.”
The rose-hued scent is housed in a heart-shaped vessel with a skyline-inspired cap, running between $48 and $88 for 1-3.4oz bottles. The campaign, shot by Francesco Carrozzini, will drop at the time of the launch, with print ads appearing in glossies come August.
“If Rita can’t sell it, I don’t know who can,” Karan said.

Model of the Month: Malgosia Bela Scores Yet Another Vogue Cover (Forum Buzz)
Malgosia Bela is in a league of her own this month. After snagging her first cover of Vogue Ukraine, the Polish beauty has now landed the July/August 2014 cover of Vogue Netherlands. Photographed by Annemarieke van Drimmelen against a nude background, Malgosia shines wearing a white blouse and matching pants. The nonchalant styling complements the gradient masthead and fonts — kudos to the art and design team.
However, members of theFashionSpot forums have mixed reviews regarding the cover. "I don't know… Something feels off… But I'm Glad Malgosia is racking up all those Vogue covers!" posted fashionlover2001.
"With this photographer and this model they could have done so much more. This is really boring," added KateTheGreatest.
MyNameIs preferred Bela's Ukrainian Vogue cover to this: "Her VU cover may not be very exciting, but at least she looks gorgeous there. This one is boring AND she looks terrible."
On the other hand, Miss Dalloway was in favor of this as opposed to the other cover and wrote, "Love this one, so much better than the Ukraine! She brings such ease and elegance, love her!"
Which cover do you prefer? I like this one better because there's more going on. The masthead looks gorgeous with the cover shot and I'm a huge fan of Malgosia's. Check out the thread and join the discussion here.

Cara Delevingne Designs for DKNY–And Wants You in the Campaign
Cara Delevingne can add "designer" to her list of accomplishments. The model/actress has teamed up with DKNY for a 15-piece capsule collection that will hit shelves in November. Delevingne's been working on the project for about a year, and it sounds like the range is an extension of the model's personal style. You'll find leather bomber jackets, sweat suits, tank tops and more, suitable for both genders. WWD says the line is a mostly unisex offering, priced between $70 and $735.
Delevingne's also on the hunt for models to pose with her for the collection's forthcoming campaign. And since she's working with over 5.5 million followers, her Instagram is the perfect place to recruit new faces. From now until Monday, if you're interested in entering, post a photo of yourself with the hashtag #CaraD4DKNY and #CaraWantsYou between now and June 16 for a chance to pose alongside Cara D.
This isn't Cara's first design collab. She just finished up a range for Mulberry , for which she designed an eponymous carryall. Something tells us this won't be her last collaboration either.

Jamie Dornan’s Interview Cover Gets Rave Reviews (Forum Buzz)
After landing a lead role in 2015's Fifty Shades of Grey, Jamie Dornan is Interview's June/July 2014 cover star. The British model turned actor is photographed by Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott for the cover and a range of 'raw' photos for inside the magazine.
A very elated Miss Dalloway is a fan and writes, "Yes, yes, yes! Not sure about him taking up the Fifty role, but it's nice seeing him get major mainstream spotlight. I enjoyed him immensely on his show The Fall, and was surprised how good he was. LOVE this shot, it looks like a vintage very private photo, and of course always appreciate when guys don't go all Ken Doll on me, some of us like body hair!"
"Wow, I'm very impressed. He's incredibly beautiful, so yes to that, but also for the cover itself. I'm sure this will be the first issue of Interview I buy in a long time," comments honeycombchild .
"Great cover! He's so ****ing hot," enthused Thefrenchy.
Wolkfolk also shared positive views: "Great cover and such an amazing editorial. Jamie is pure sex here. He's a good actor but he really is an amazing model. Mert & Marcus are really nailing those very sexy male shoots lately. I love it. Kudos to Interview once again. I can't wait to see who's featured in the Up & Coming Hollywood spread."
Are you a fan? Check out Jamie's accompanying cover story within the thread here.
