The Fashion Bloggers Cast Step Out for Indooroopilly’s Designer Showcase

Now that Nadia Fairfax has joined the Fashion Bloggers crew, the fellow cast members are wasting no time squeezing the pint-sized blogger into their little posse.

The newest star of the show stepped out with Zanita Whittington and Kate Waterhouse for Indooroopilly Shopping Centre’s Lead the Field Autumn 2015 fashion launch in Brisbane last night. The trio, like all respected fashion bloggers, impressed with their style know-how. They all opted for local designers too! Let’s take a closer look below.

Nadia opted for a spaghetti-strapped midi dress by Manning Cartell ($599) featuring autumnal florals. We love that she made it more sexy than ladylike with black-leather slip-on mules and a large-rectangle clutch, plus tousled waves.

MC for the night, Kate, rose to the occasion in a Scanlan Theodore feathery skirt ($800) and sweet peplum top ($450), teamed with nude tie-up sandals. This is proof that head-to-toe neutrals can be amazing with the right use of textures and shapes.

Zanita wasn’t oozing her usual eccentricity, choosing to tone it down in this muted snakeskin midi dress by Zimmermann ($595). She accessorised with nude and clear-plastic two-strap sandals and a taupe cross-body bag. We love Zanita and we love Zimmermann, but this look was just a little too washed out for our liking.

Gear Up for the Cold with Help from Margaret Zhang

Aussie Pink-Haired Model Fernanda Ly Walks Louis Vuitton

It’s a case of pink hair, don’t care for Australian model Fernanda Hin Lin Ly, more fondly known as Fernanda Ly, who made her big international break walking for Louis Vuitton’s Fall 2015 show in Paris yesterday, March 11.

You might remember this beauty from Alice McCall’s 2014 MBFWA show and Spring 2014 look book, or even her rad editorials in Catalogue and Oyster online. Fernanda’s quirky look has garnered a bit of attention here on home soil after she was scouted by Australian agency Priscillas at a local shopping centre in April 2013, but nothing quite as big as a world exclusive for Louis Vuitton.

While we know we don’t need to tell you what a big deal it is to walk Louis Vuitton, let’s just appreciate the event’s star-studded guest list, like Jennifer Connelly, Michelle Williams, Chloë Moretz, Anna Wintour and Selena Gomez, who wouldn’t have been able to miss the only pink-haired model in the show.

We think 2015 could be her year.

It doesn’t matter if you have oily, combination or dry skin, facial oils will rebalance skin to show off the calm, clear and healthy looking complexion we all lust over.

2. They are a facialist’s best friend, and can be yours too

There’s a reason facial oils have been used in professional facials for years, reviving even the most stressed out of skins. Nichola reveals that they are also a secret weapon backstage at shows and shoots, because even models don’t wake up like that.

3. The benefits are endless

Because the oil glides onto the skin seamlessly, it encourage facial massage which relaxes and tones the muscles. This helps to sculpt facial contours, boosts blood flow, and removes all the icky tension in your face. Awaken your senses, girls!

4. You only need a couple of drops

We get it, you’re still a bit iffy about putting oil on your face. Nicola suggests easing into it so it doesn’t seem like such a crazy beauty leap. Try adding a couple of drops to your night cream to give your skin an extra surge of hydration. Then, when you feel comfortable, start using the oil as normal.
