An 80s-Styled Anja Rubik is Porter’s Fall 2014 Cover Girl (Forum Buzz)

Following in the footsteps of Gisele Bündchen , Lady Gaga and Lara Stone , Anja Rubik is Porter‘s latest cover star. The magazine tapped the Polish beauty for its Fall 2014 cover, which was lensed by Dutch duo Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin. Shot in the great outdoors, we see Anja posing among dewy woodlands while wearing a thick lilac coat teamed with a blazer, a gray sweater and a pair of green leather trousers. The cover look was styled by Melanie Ward.

Members of our forums have mixed opinions regarding Porter‘s fourth cover. “This is such a beautiful cover, really feel like Porter keeps knocking it out of the park with their covers. Love the way Anja was styled and the fact they shot the photograph outside, it works well together,” wrote YoninahAliza, who is clearly a fan.

“Ah, I like it. I really think this magazine has got off to a great start,” commented honeycombchild.

“I like it as well, love that it’s an outdoors shot, and that the hair is something different, styling works as well. Porter is taking my money instead of Love, I hope they keep it up,” agreed Miss Dalloway.

The thread also has members who are on the fence. “I’m not really getting anything from the cover, but I’m curious to see what’s inside,” shared an optimistic blueorchid.

“I don’t like the hair but I’m really excited about this magazine and I’m sure the editorial will be better,” wrote KateTheGreatest.

GIVENCHYlover made it clear he wasn’t interested: “I don’t know…I don’t like it.”

The Fall 2014 issue of Porter is available worldwide this Friday. Check out the thread and join the discussion here.
