Emilio de la Morena Spring 2014: Fashion-Forward, but Wearable

When a designer can show a top with pleated fan-like breast cups and have it come off as sophisticated, you know you're looking at a unique talent. So was the case in Emilio de la Morena's lineup this season where the designer stuck to the running theme for Spring 2014 and showed a loosely draped collection of fashion-forward, but wholly wearable pieces.


Among the standouts were a duo of long loose vests, dual colored paneled outerwear and an embellished crop top with a coordinating high-waist skirt. The one misstep? A handful of cocktail dresses that appeared overly worked with clashing colors, ruffle and fan embellishments.
